Funnybones ~ Class 2

In Class 2 we have been finding out about our skeleton and how the bones all fit together. We have drawn some detailed pictures. See if you can name some of the bones yourself.

We found out that there are over 200 bones in our body and they all fit together inside our skin.

The place where two bones meet is called a join. Joints let the bone on either side move. Can you find your joints? Sometimes people break a bone and have to go to hospital but your body soon heals itself.

Our skeleton  help us to move around, it  keeps us upright and stops us from going all floppy. It also protects important parts of our body. The skull protects our brain and the ribs protect our heart and lungs.

We hope you enjoyed looking at our skeletons!
